Is it time to buy a new computer or upgrade your current one? Is your computer constantly running slow? Does it have enough memory? Or have you filled the Hard Disk up and there is no space to swap memory? There are many number of changes/upgrades you can make to your computer to increase its performance. We can advise you in the new purchase or help in the upgrade of your current hardware.
There are many factors to a computer and not are all hardware based. Not all parts of the hardware can be upgraded to increase performance, sometimes it is just cheaper to buy a new computer. Here are the common upgrades that are usually performed on computers:
Is your computer slow to do most common tasks?
Apart from the obvious problems with viruses or spyware as we have already discussed in the Virus & Spyware Removal page. There are some hardware issues that can cause your PC to run slow. Most of the time this is insufficient memory (RAM). You bought your computer with the advised amount of memory at the time, but as you do operating system updates (well we hope you do) and install more programs more memory is used to run these correctly. Sometimes a memory upgrade can fix the performance of your computer and should be considered for any computer running with less than 1024(1GB) RAM (memory). We can analyse your computer and optimise what memory upgrade you require, or programs that not need to run all the time to help speed your computer up.
Should I upgrade my operating system?
When you bought your computer, it would have the latest released operating system. As operating systems are updated and super seeded they take advantage of the current hardware technology available, new hardware drivers etc etc. this means that your computer may not be able to use new operating system. We can advise or point you in the correct direction on how to upgrade or move forward with this.
Do you watch movies, play games. Is the screen jumping around?
Do you get frustrated watching a movie or playing a game as the image or graphics you see on your computer screen jump or freeze. Your graphics card is what drives the images on your computer. Therefore the quality of the graphics card will make a huge difference to computer performance. So let us advise you on your graphics card if you are a big game or movie watcher.
